Potluck Attribution War
Two neighbors both claim they invented the block party potluck spreadsheet. Spreadsheet screenshots follow.
About the Episode
Block parties depend on spreadsheets now, and this block discovered that two neighbors both believed they invented the Official Potluck Sign-Up. The receipts arrived as screenshots, color-coded tabs, and timestamps that half the thread could not parse. We narrate the escalation from polite confusion to full attribution war, complete with accusations about who changed column widths.
Mid-episode we talk about why shared documents make people braver than they would be at the mailbox. We also salute the hero who suggested merging sheets and was ignored because drama is more fun than Google Drive hygiene.
The ending is surprisingly wholesome if you squint, and still funny if you do not.
